Being in the presence of guns makes me uneasy which I think is partly what makes me qualified to own them. I also don’t view them in that weird pseudo-religious context that’s become more common these days.

I don’t know what the answer is to gun violence but I do know the US is awash is them. At best the idea of giving more guns to more people as a solution seems conspicuously counterintuitive.

OK, now back to the idea of arming teachers…..

With all due respect the many wonderful people who taught me over the years, I have to say there are a few who would be comically dangerous if armed. That said, what would armed teachers actually look like in practice? Hence my little digital thought experiment…..
